About the Cross-Harbour Tunnel

The Cross-Harbour Tunnel runs under Victoria Harbour between Hung Hom and Causeway Bay. A journey-time sign shows the estimated minutes from that sign to the tunnel, and the colour is the one the department’s feed reports for that reading. The department refreshes the signs about every two minutes; the “captured” column is the time of each reading. These are current estimates, not forecasts.

By taxi, the passenger pays a $25 harbour toll plus a $25 return toll at any of the three crossings — the figures on our taxi fare calculator, which also explains when the return toll does not apply.
